Burzum's second full-length studio album "Det Som En Gang Var" has to be worshipped and revered because it is real black metal and it is a real hatred that bursts out of this unholy work. Varg Vikernes is no matter what a prominent figure and his Burzum is outstanding. The album is great. The general feeling of the album has become rather thoughtful and steady. It still retains evil, but a dark and mysterious evil. From this album, Vikernes shows melancholy of his works that will further evolve in following albums. It has 8 brilliant tracks, out of which four are fully arranged black metal songs with vocals, guitars etc. They kill literally the mind. Black metal, indeed.
